This simple recipe uses 1-inch butterfly steaks grilled over coals, then smothered in sautéed Morel mushrooms. Melt butter in a pan on medium heat. Add mushrooms and a few chopped shallots. Cook until tender. These steaks were defrosted in the microwave. As a result, you can see how the edges of the steaks turned brown. I recommend that you thaw your steaks, naturally, on your kitchen counter for a few hours.
